Cognitive and Educational Assessment
Includes:
WJ IV Assessment of Cognitive abilities: Comprehension Knowledge (general knowledge and vocabulary), fluid reasoning, working memory, processing speed, phonological awareness/auditory processing, long-term storage and retrieval, and visual processing. Extra abilities explored: auditory memory span, number facility & perceptual speed.
WJ IV Assessment of Academic abilities: Word reading, reading fluency/speed, reading comprehension, phoneme-grapheme knowledge, spelling, organisation and clarity of writing, writing speed, word problems & math facts fluency. Extra abilities explored: editing, handwriting & calculation skills.
WJ IV Assessment of Oral Language abilities: Oral comprehension. Extra abilities explored: phonetic coding & speed of lexical access.

Assessment fee: $1,150.00 (incl GST)
A Cognitive and Educational Report is inclusive of a score analysis, interpretation (including a diagnosis of a learning disability if applicable), and recommendations. The report is made available within 3 weeks of the assessment.
It is advised one appointment is booked for those under the age of 12. It is advised two appointments are booked for those aged 12 & above, and/or present with an attention deficit. Please provide an email address and a phone number in the booking. All appointments include the subtitle of “3 hours” - please note that this accommodates for shorter or longer sessions. Once the booking has been made Lauren will send an invoice, a Case History form, a School Questionnaire, and a service agreement to be completed and returned before the appointment date.
